Acre has been engaged by a global real estate organisation to identify a Health, Safety and Environment practitioner to support the UK property management business on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
Day to day, you will support the Head of HSE UK and provide extended support to the Head of Fire Safety Operations and Regional HSE Managers who deliver property-related risk management for their clients and stakeholders. You’ll support them in producing and delivering a robust safety management system and a suite of documents to support the delivery of core health and safety services within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of HSE in accidents and incidents monitoring. To review reported incident severity and support the FM teams in H&S investigations and remedial actions.
- To support the Head of HSE and Head of Fire Safety in the technical reviews of current SOPs in line with legal and technical updates from industry.
- Help develop in conjunction with the HSE team new processes, including Bulletin News updates in line with reviewed and republished SOPs.
- Support the communication and culture of HSE policies, procedures and guidance ensuring PMFM understanding and support the delivery of the client objectives.
- Champion the ongoing improvements of their safety and environmental management systems in accordance with the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, and 5001 and PAS99, ensuring delivery of continued accreditations for the Company and Clients.
- Provide support and technical advice to the HSE Regional Managers and the Property Management and Facilities Management teams to enable them to undertake their roles and responsibilities for health, safety and the environment.
The successful candidate will have strong client relationship management skills, ideally within a real estate or FM industry, with excellent knowledge and qualifications within H&S. Strong analytical and planning skills are essential, along with commercial and strategic awareness, and the ability to remain calm and focused.
This is a 1-year fixed-term contract, based at their central London office, with some flexible working on offer.
