Many businesses, community groups, households and schools in the UK have registered to take part in this week’s The Big Plastic Count. The week-long campaign (11-17 March) aims to put a stop to the plastic crisis through the 102,400 supporters who have registered to monitor, count and report every single piece of plastic they use this week.

While purpose-led organisations are disrupting the packaging industry with innovative solutions to the plastic crisis, nearly two billion pieces of packaging are still discarded in the UK every week, with just 12 per cent recycled.
