Would you like to apply your knowledge and experience in accounting, finance and/or law in the field of sustainability? Would you like to help clients implement complex and important sustainable finance regulations?

Acre is partnering with a leading accountancy firm to recruit an Accountant - Sustainable Finance Manager to their Sustainable Finance team. You will work with the leading banks, insurers, pension funds and asset managers to embed ESG in their products, services, processes, systems, strategies and culture. You will do this by providing world-class advisory services on current and upcoming ESG laws and regulations.

What will you be doing

  • Implementing the CSRD, SFDR and EU Taxonomy and other sustainable finance laws and regulations at financial institutions.

  • Developing your own professional technical knowledge in the field of Sustainable Finance regulations.

  • Preparing and conducting training sessions on sustainable finance regulations for clients and colleagues.

  • Working on ECB requirements for including climate-related risks in banks' risk management systems.

  • Leading projects and supervising junior colleagues

What you will bring

  • You have at least 6 years of relevant work experience, e.g. as an accountant or regulatory specialist at a financial institution, and enjoy working with regulations.

  • You have an interest in relevant developments and regulations in the context of sustainable finance, such as the CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR, ESG data and ratings.

  • You have excellent skills in English and preferably Dutch (both oral and written).

  • You are independent, flexible, critical, proactive, innovative and enjoy working together in working in multidisciplinary teams.
