Ted Baker believes that as a fashion brand, they must take responsibility for their impact on the planet. To ensure they do this, they put the fair and ethical treatment of their people, planet and product at the heart of everything they do.

To enable them to reach their ambitious sustainability goals, such as 100% net-zero emissions within their own operations by 2030, Ted Baker is looking for a Climate Specialist to manage and implement the climate strategy across all their operations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the development and execution of Ted Baker's Climate Strategy. Within this, you will produce annual climate plans that align with ESG and the wider Ted strategy.

  • Act as the 'go-to' person when it comes to advising on the implementation of existing and emerging reporting frameworks.

  • Chair our internal carbon steering groups and provide regular progress.

  • Responsible for coordinating carbon disclosures throughout the group.

  • Develop carbon data governing policies and partner with the Senior Leadership Team to implement these measures.

  • Champion carbon reduction successes externally and internally and contribute towards climate/planet content in the annual report.

The Climate Specialist has responsibility and accountability to uphold adherence and compliance with all Environmental, Social and Governance in all workspaces - this includes UK Head Office, UK&EU Stores & Concessions. You'll be expected to manage energy, water, and waste data and product data, analyse current performance and work with key internal and external stakeholders to make continual improvements with the necessary autonomy to drive the expected impact.

You will already have:

  • Specialist experience in the development and delivery of carbon management programmes within a global organisation.

  • Established your ability to influence and engage management and communication skills.

  • Experience in TCFD, CDP, and GHG reporting.

  • Excellent project management skills.

Confident that you can add value but not 100% sure you 'tick every box'? There is no such thing as the perfect candidate. Ted Baker prides itself on growing the team with diverse professionals. So, however, you identify, and whatever experience you have, please apply if this is a role that excites you.
