A Climate Modelling Lead is required to join the Sustainable Investment team of a Leading Global Investment Management Firm. You will be responsible for developing the firm’s climate capability and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the Sustainable Investment team.
Purpose:
Assisting in the oversight processes for integrating ESG considerations
Add to the team's knowledge of Sustainable Investment issues and the practice of integration into the investment process
Record and measure the engagements and outcomes. Monitor investee company performance and alignment with strategy
Key responsibilities will be:
Engage with teams to scope and prioritise climate modelling requirements
Work with the wider part of the business to gather and look at the climate-related requirements and authenticate the data fit for modelling
Improve the data and develop internal plans with the investment teams
Communicating with third parties to ensure climate risk modelling is carried out efficiently and effectively, and within agreed timescales
Liaise with the senior stakeholders to broaden the understanding of climate modelling and its application
Key experience:
Extensive experience in climate scenario development and modelling
Background in Financial Services, Investment Management or Insurance
Capable to look at large datasets and have excellent quantitative and technical skills
Experience with Excel, data analytics and visualisation with the ability to analyse, validate and prepare large volumes of data
Subject matter knowledge of sustainability
Strong stakeholder and management skills
