The role:

The role of Senior Manager of Sustainability will be reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer.

This individual will enable DTEK's vision to scale investment into renewables, decarbonise its operations and establish an industry-leading ESG reporting program.

Positioned at the Group level, the position will ensure efficient project management across all Group sustainability projects by standardising project management approaches and introducing best practices.

DTEK are seeking someone with a demonstrable passion for helping an organisation make ESG & Sustainability a central part of its agenda, whilst ensuring it's at the heart of the organisation's decision-making.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • With your strong relationship-building and influencing skills, you will drive projects forward as well as gather information to identify risks and propose solutions.

  • You will successfully navigate different governance structures

  • Work closely with other leaders to develop new projects or programs in line with the strategic objectives of the business.

  • You will project manage interdisciplinary teams in an international setting, providing direction and guidance on sustainability and reporting topics

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor all project activities, implementing proactive risk management strategies throughout all phases

  • Lead the ESG/sustainability reporting program, working with project and business teams to develop and refine approaches to comply with regulations such as TCFD and CSRD

  • Launch an ESG system and ensure Group Sustainability has visibility of performance by establishing an ESG system so oversight can be maintained.

  • Facilitate and support the management of sustainability governance obligations in the business by ensuring materials are prepared on time and actions are tracked.

  • Standardize project management approaches across the Group and introduce best practices

Key qualifications and technical knowledge required:

  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills with demonstrable experience in managing concurrent projects with different stakeholder groups

  • Strong influencing capabilities with demonstrable results in driving outcomes within businesses (ie. outside the direct team)

  • Demonstrable experience working on TCFD and/or CSRD reporting regulations is advantageous.

  • Experience working with data management systems, preferably related to ESG

  • Strong understanding of sustainability strategy and ESG reporting within an international/European corporate setting

  • Expertise in energy, natural resources, industrials, infrastructure or renewables would be desirable, not essential.

  • Russian or Ukrainian language skills would be desirable, not essential
