Does developing an international sustainability strategy sound like the ideal new challenge for you?
Acre is partnered with Safetykleen, a leading provider of Parts Washing, Waste Collection and Environmental Advisory services to businesses.
With over 52,000 customers and operating across 12 European countries, as well as Brazil and Turkey, the organisation has been growing at a fast pace, and is now seeking the sustainability agenda to match.
Due to recent investment from a leading sustainable investor, Apax, there are further commitments in becoming more sustainable, as One of Apax's core focus areas is climate change and carbon reduction across their portfolio. In this role, you will play an essential part in accelerating sustainability across their several areas of business of Safetykleen.
You will also be responsible for:
Leading the sustainability reporting strategy in alignment with relevant frameworks, regulations, and policies. Through keeping up with the latest trends or themes in the sector, you seek to further improve the organisations sustainability agenda wherever possible.
Creating and implementing goals and targets for the business to work towards across areas like GHG emissions, energy, water, and waste. You assume responsibility for data quality on these, and then using this data to decide the targets you will be rolling out and bringing the internal teams along with you.
Internally and externally engaging contacts and teams. You are a central point across several layers of teams, geographies, and areas of the business, each requiring different approaches to ensure the sustainability programme is a success.
With the mission 'to make the planet Safer and Kleener' and through enabling customers to improve the quality of their cleaning, while reducing their environmental impact, the opportunities to tap into a further sustainable business model are endless.
To thrive in this role, you already have the following:
A proven track record of ESG or Sustainability strategy management across topics such as annual sustainability reporting, carbon management, renewable energy, GHG reporting and working in accordance with frameworks such as TCFD or SASB.
A drive to work with others on one shared goal: to decarbonise an organisation and make the planet safer and better as a result.
An eye for detail and the ability to be comfortable with data and numbers. You recognise when the figures don't align, and you know how to amend the strategy to get where you need to be.
