Briggs of Burton plc is a leading engineering and manufacturing company, designing and building process engineering solutions that serve the clean energy, chemical & environmental, and liquid food industries. They are part of the CLPT group, made up of Ziemann Holvrieka, DME Systems and Briggs of Burton plc. Briggs is on an excellent financial trajectory, and they're looking for someone to Head up their HSE team across the group.

Acre is delighted to be supporting Briggs and the wider group on this important hire. The role focuses on culture change across the CLPT Group and we are looking for a forward-thinking Head of HSE to step in and embed this across the entire group, so global experience is required to work with teams in the UK, Europe, China, Central & South America and South East Asia.

The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team, and you'll lead initiatives across the group, splitting your time 50/50 with Briggs of Burton and the rest of the CLPT Group, meaning this role comes with up to 50% international travel.

In this role, you will be:

  • Driving and embedding a culture change programme across Briggs in the UK and the CLPT group globally.

  • Advising the Directors in the development of the Business plan for Health, Safety and Wellbeing, assisting in the strategic direction of the Group

  • Reporting to SLT on performance developments against the business plan, continual improvement plans, KPI's and legislative and CLPT requirements

  • Overseeing the requirements of the company's safety training programme, including progress analysis and continual engagement throughout the organisation

  • Manage, coach and enable the health and safety team to support the delivery of effective programmes, including equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to develop and maintain the management system

You will have experience developing positive culture change programmes across an organisation, managing stakeholders of various levels and overseeing facilities across the world.

You'll have:

  • ​Proven experience in a similar senior role and strategic planning across HSE

  • Experience managing a project of culture change and embedding it across teams and cultures

  • Qualification to a minimum of NEBOSH Diploma

  • Outstanding communication skills at all levels (both verbal presentation and written reports)

  • Ability to manage Group health and safety compliance across different continents
