Are you an experienced sustainability leader in the fashion industry who's led large-scale transformation projects with a passion for driving impact and transformation at a sector-wide level?

The Fashion Pact is a global coalition of companies in the fashion and textile sector that have committed to utilising the power of the collective to accelerate change in three environmental areas: climate, biodiversity, and oceans. Uniquely, The Fashion Pact is a CEO-led, action-based non-profit organisation funded by its members, leveraging joint action to achieve and scale impact.

With a signatory base representing 1/3 of the fashion industry, The Fashion Pact has successfully established itself with a unique proposition and substantial signatory base. The organisation has built a platform for knowledge sharing, created the conditions for setting biodiversity strategies in the absence of transparency, and set up important transformative projects for collective action. The coalition has come far since it was established 4 years ago, and the scope for impact moving forward is both incredibly tangible and exciting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The Fashion Pact as their new Head of Programmes, at the tipping point for both the organisation and industry in terms of potential collective impact. Reporting to the Executive Director of The Fashion Pact, you will be responsible for leading The Fashion Pact's programme into the new phase by focusing on scaling joint initiatives, delivering measurable results beyond pilot scale and establishing replicable blueprints for ambitious industry transformation.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead on the exciting next phase of The Fashion Pact's programmatic work, scaling impact and establishing replicable blueprints for ambitious industry transformation.

  • Partner with members, delivery partners and implementation partners to define, scope, launch and accelerate implementation of the global coalition's programme.

  • Horizon scan, identifying blind spots in ongoing strategies and programmes, and developing quick corrective action plans.

  • Develop productive relationships with priority global member stakeholders and maintain strategic partnerships with delivery and implementation partners and other relevant industry associations/initiatives.

  • Support the Executive Director by helping to set and manage the Steering Committee's and Operation Committee's agenda.

  • Develop and foster a collaborative and warm team culture among the largest team in the Fashion Pact, and at the organisation more broadly.

Based on your significant experience in driving sustainability transformation and programme management in the fashion industry, you will have strong, complex project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with a robust network in fashion to foster transformational change in the industry.

To thrive and be successful in an impact-driven non-profit in the start-up phase, you'll also have the following:

  • Extensive experience in CSR / ESG / Sustainability project management, preferably within the fashion or luxury goods industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with a successful track record of managing, developing, and growing an internal team; ability to develop culture and partner with human resources on team development.

  • Experience in driving pioneering/innovative initiatives, with the ability to navigate setbacks and apply learnings to accelerate progress.

  • Familiarity with textile supply chain and sourcing issues and approaches. Ideally, with expertise from a holistic value-chain perspective.

  • Solutions-oriented and results-driven mindset; high attention to detail; ability to multitask and influence, and meet deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

This is a unique senior opportunity with a ground-breaking coalition working towards an entire sector transformation in sustainability.
