Head of Research & Development

Acre has partnered with an electrolyzer technology developer backed by the leading global cleantech VC firm that is revolutionizing the hydrogen supply chain through first-principles innovation in manufacturing. They've just closed a major funding round and are scaling.

Reporting to the CEO and based in the San Francisco Bay Area, they are looking for a Head of Research and Development to come in and immediately oversee a team of 10 engineers. This is an executive leadership position responsible for defining, expanding and leading their engineering team and technology development efforts, while also working with the C-suite to define and execute on their technology roadmap.

They are looking for someone with:

• An advanced degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 25-30+ years of experience developing and commercializing sophisticated clean technologies

• Technical expertise in electrolysis, fuel cell or similarly complex technologies

• 10-15+ years' experience leading engineering teams and technology development (extensive management experience required)
