Health and Safety Manager

Are you a forward-thinking, progressive and curious Health & Safety professional? Acre are working closely with a Property and Accommodation business who are rapidly expanding, looking to bring on a Health & Safety Manager to lead on all aspects of Health & Safety within the business nationwide.

This is an opportunity to join an organisation with no Health & Safety department, to drive H&S change within the business while leading from the front.

​

Responsibilities:

​

• Create and execute a strategic Health & Safety plan, with organisational health and safety objectives for the current year, 3 and 5 years; with effective measurement and reporting into the leadership team

• Identify relevant Health and safety training needs throughout the business; to include team training; certification to achieve the standards imposed by legislation, approved codes of practice, or HSE guidance

• Business partner with site teams to gain a full understanding of the ways of working at all levels of the team and the urbanest culture

• Formulate suitable procedures and policies to manage contractors at operational residential buildings to ensure suitable risk assessments and method statements are provided and permits to work are issued where appropriate

Experience:

​

• Health & Safety experience within the property sector is key for this role

• You will also ideally have experience creating and implementing H&S policies and procedures, as well as having strong technical knowledge across HS&S legislation and compliance

​
