The role

As Regional Health & Safety Manager, you will act as a culture change agent on H&S matters. You will engage with Regional Management Teams (MT) on H&S matters, set direction and ensure safety, health and wellbeing are integrated into the regional OpCo's business agenda to deliver Heineken H&S strategy, programmes and objectives.

In this role, you will sit within the Global H&S department reporting to the Director of Global Health & Safety.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate a network of OpCo SHE Managers, foster sharing and learning, capability building, talent management and drive continuous improvement in H&S performance within the region.

  • Set Health & Safety direction and strategy within the region. Advise Regional and OpCo Senior management on H&S matters and priority setting.

  • Support the OpCo's in translating the strategy into an operational plan to ensure the deployment and delivery of Heineken's safety, health & wellbeing programmes and processes to pro-actively manage company risks and achieve objectives related to people & process safety, health & wellbeing, license-to-operate and compliance assurance.

  • Monitor, analyse trends and report regional H&S performance to regional and global teams and instil measures where necessary to raise the profile of H&S. Act as a Safety, Health & Wellbeing culture change agent.

  • Support Region and OpCo MT's in solving H&S-related matters including investigating and solving sensitive cases such as serious injuries, fatalities or non-compliance, and high-risk or crisis management issues.

  • Promote a regional H&S network of OpCo SHE mgrs., coordinates regional and cross-OpCo H&S activities. Identifies opportunities and coordinates functional capability building and talent management within the region.

  • Support the Region and OpCo's in the H&S budgeting process. Assist the OpCo's in the development and reviewing of H&S objectives and improvement programmes.

  • Provide H&S expertise and support to regional due diligence (acquisition & divestiture) and integration processes

  • Experience in Health & Safety roles that required interaction with senior management stakeholders across different functions. Leading deployment and supporting successful delivery in a matrix organisation.

  • Knowledge of functional budgeting and assurance processes including audit and data management.

  • Background in various types of transformational journeys such as H&S culture change management and program management, managing relationships with stakeholders on strategic and tactical levels.

  • Able to work in an inclusive way in leading the HS&S community and to build and maintain professional relationships with business and functional leaders.

  • Strong written and verbal English; any other language is a plus.

  • Based in Singapore or willing to relocate. Open to neighbouring countries for the right candidate.
