Job Description:

Acre is partnered with lululemon in their search for an experienced Senior Manager to lead Responsible Supply Chain and social compliance efforts across Central and South America, the Middle East and Europe. This role requires deep knowledge of the listed regions, their social dynamics, and local compliance issues.

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish to be considered for this role.

Who is lululemon:

lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company for yoga, running, training, and other athletic pursuits. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, they create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. lululemon owes their success to their innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to their people, and the incredible connections they make in every community they're in. As a company, lululemon focuses on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for their people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Compliance Assessment + Remediation Work: Independently and in collaboration with third-party firms, lead auditing factories in 16+ countries to ensure that labor practices are fair, safe, and in accordance with lululemon's internal policies as well as international labor standards. Use these audits as tools to understand underlying issues and root causes of non-compliance.

  • Regional Expertise: Lead and direct compliance efforts across the Americas, Middle East and Europe, ensuring that all facilities adhere to lululemon's ethical and social standards.

  • Stakeholder Engagement + Remediation Work: Establish and maintain strong relationships with factories and vendors in the regions. Collaborate with factories to build internal management systems that resolve issues, fostering long-term change rather than short-term fixes. Support vendors to establish best practices and management systems related to promoting worker well-being, freedom of association, and preventing gender-based violence in the workplace. Work closely with other brands and NGO partners to address common concerns and share best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.

  • At least 7 years of experience leading social compliance and risk assessments on-site and remediation work with individual factories in relevant regions.

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in responsible supply chain, ethical trade, sustainability, and human rights, leading and monitoring improvement programs.

  • Experience auditing Tier 1 and Tier 2, including subcontractors and outsourced factories.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the regions of Central and South America, Middle East, Europe and a willingness to learn and develop.

  • Proven experience in retail, apparel, footwear, electronics, or related industries.

  • Established relationships with other brands and NGOs in the region is a plus.

  • Understanding of how NGOs and civil societies operate in the context of supply chain sustainability.
