A leading property development business is looking to hire a new Social Impact Lead. In this newly created role, reporting to the Head of Responsible Business, you will play a key role in supporting the business to develop and deliver their Responsible Business programme.
You will be an experienced sustainability professional with a broad environmental and social sustainability skill set, with a specific focus on CSR, social value, community, engagement & wellbeing, responsible operating practices, sustainable procurement, internal and external communications, ideally with a background from the construction or property development sectors, logistics or home building.
Responsibilities:
Take a lead in producing the Responsible Business communications including content for our ARA working with the Head of Communications, and produce sustainability reports, accounts ensuring accurate information; create content for external comms and social media, raising St. Modwen's profile and reputation
Create and input guides, codes, briefs on sustainability
Identify training needs, and develop and deliver training programs as part of the St. Modwen Academy
Support the collation and analysis of business data, ensuring systems are effective and supporting the BUs in their metrics
Provide sustainability input to projects to support the BUs achieve their RB ambitions and win bid; Provide support to the H&W community, and Responsible Operating Practices Steering Committees
Support the development of strategy and project planning
Requirements:
Experienced social sustainability professional, ideally with a background in the property development sector
Experience in sustainable sourcing and procurement practices, and practical application in supplier selection and assessment
An experienced sustainability communicator, having previously produced sustainability reports, ARAs, submissions for EPRA, investor packs
Practical experience of creating social impact through business activities and creating suitable KPIs and metrics
Excellent communicator able to interact at all levels, and speak with confidence on a wide range of sustainability matters; Innovative approach to sustainability communications and awareness raising, and internal engagement strategies
Excellent IT skills; excel, powerpoint
