Acre is partnering with Manufacture 2030 (M2030), a fast-growing purpose-led business, aiming to help their customers significantly reduce environmental impacts. M2030 is a market-leading tech business that works with the world's biggest brands - including Honda, Toyota, GSK, Asda, Sainsbury's, Kingfisher, and many more.

As the business continues to go from strength to strength, they are now looking to expand the team by recruiting a newly created Sustainability Advisor to join its Climate Action Program.

The M2030 Climate Action Program provides access to best practices, events, training, funding, and great technologies, all aimed at helping thousands of their customers to accelerate the changes needed within their businesses to improve their sustainability performance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working across a variety of sustainability topics, including carbon reduction and waste management

  • Researching & updating the actionable good practice database

  • Conducting a mix of desk-based research, and interviews with practitioners & industry experts

  • Identifying opportunities and subsequently delivering training support to supplier customers - potentially with expert partners

Skills and experience you will need to succeed in this role include:

  • Demonstrable experience (in-house or as a consultant) in at least one relevant technical area: Energy efficiency projects; carbon reduction projects; carbon footprinting; product design (LCA perspective); scoping & delivering sustainability projects

  • A degree in environment, engineering, or sustainability is desirable but not essential (depending on your experience)

  • You should be a good project manager with experience working with a range of stakeholders

  • Industry experience within the automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & drink, retail or FMCG sectors would be welcomed, but this is not a requirement

  • Additional languages would also be beneficial

This role will offer flexible working, with Manufacture 2030's head office based in Oxford.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the best practices for carbon reduction across a multitude of sectors. If you are excited about the opportunity to work with a growing business that is working with thousands of leading businesses within the global supply chain on their decarbonisation journey, look no further.
