Sustainability Manager

Diploma has defined its sustainability strategy - Delivering Value Responsibly (DVR) as an integral part of its commercial business and future growth and has recently submitted net zero targets to SBTi.

As part of this commitment, they have created a brand-new position, Sustainability Manager. Here, you will work with and have regular contact with the Exec team at Diploma, as well as the leaders within the sectors and business units, to offer expertise and support to embed a sustainability culture and identify opportunities to help them deliver against the DVR strategy in a responsible, commercial way.

From working with the business units to ensure sustainability is integrated throughout the supply chain to monitoring emerging ESG trends, this is a truly diverse and unique opportunity.

Your key responsibilities in this include:

• Providing expertise, counsel, and support to businesses in the delivery of their DVR plans

• Supporting Group-wide DVR data collection and management to report on performance metrics, including net zero targets

• Leading the submission and continuous improvement of key non-financial disclosures, including CDP, MSCI and Sustainalytics

• Working closely with the Senior Communications Manager to develop Diploma's DVR section in the annual report

• Monitoring current and emerging sustainability and ESG trends, stakeholder expectations, and regulatory requirements

• Supporting responsible sourcing efforts to evaluate and minimise social and environmental risks in Diploma's supply chain; coordinating business to ensure sustainability is integrated into key stages of the sourcing and supplier management process.

You will bring:

• Strong technical background in sustainability, ideally from a decentralised organisation

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of sustainability

• Highly organised project management style able to juggle competing priorities and maintain great communication with different stakeholders
