We are delighted to partner with a leading industrial manufacturer looking to appoint a new Head of Environment & Decarbonisation to develop and drive their decarbonisation strategy.
This person has the opportunity to drive change and influence across significant operations and supply chains, utilising their deep knowledge of different decarbonisation pathways in order to inform company decisions.
Based in Spain, this person will work across the company's Spanish sites.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Understand different approaches to decarbonisation in heavy sectors
- Ability to make informed strategic decisions, making recommendations, explaining the costs of decarbonising and influencing senior leadership
- Drive the environmental programme across the business, working with leaders in the business to implement sustainability practices
- Deliver on the company's net zero strategies, carbon footprinting, and energy targets
- Carry out key assessments to monitor the company's environmental performance
- Establish new targets across the range of environmental topics, including but not limited to waste, water, nature and biodiversity
- To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Very strong knowledge of decarbonisation approaches and processes
- Demonstrable experience of delivering environmental strategies across operations
- Previous experience in a similar role in industrial or manufacturing business
- The ability to engage effectively with a range of different stakeholders
- The ability to horizon scan, identifying opportunities for improvement and future need
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish
