  • Partner with and support key internal stakeholders in preparing our financed emissions and other climate-related material for disclosure

  • Contribute to other climate-related projects across GSO as priorities and timelines require

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus

  • The successful candidate should have approximately 5-7 years of professional experience, including a strong foundation in climate finance, sustainability, and/or developing solutions to decarbonize emission-intensive sectors (i.e. oil and gas, power, real estate), evidenced by a relevant degree, appropriate industry qualification and/or relevant work experience in finance and/or a market-oriented NGO

  • The candidate will be able to demonstrate strong and capable project management skills, including the ability to drive projects to completion, adjust timeframes as needed to address unforeseen events and provide frequent updates to senior management to better inform decision-making

  • Must have broad technical knowledge related to science-based emissions pathways, carbon emissions data (including its challenges and limitations), various approaches to measure the carbon footprint of financing activities and transition finance

  • The candidate will benefit from experience in financial services, with broad knowledge of financial sector products and services (i.e. lending, capital markets activities, investment banking, etc.)

  • The candidate will need to deliver high-quality work within a fast-paced environment

  • The candidate should have experience and/or familiarity with carbon accounting, sustainability reporting, and climate science, as well as related methodologies and initiatives/orgs (TCFD, SASB, PCAF, GHGP, SBTI, TPI, NZBA/GFANZ, etc.).
