Director of Systems Engineering

Acre has partnered with a clean energy innovator in their search for a Director or Head of Systems Engineering reporting directly to the CTO. They are a publicly traded multi-billion dollar startup that has piloted an energy production technology offering emission reductions greater than 90% of comparable technologies. Once fully commercialized, their technology will grant tens of millions of people across the world access to clean, reliable and low-cost energy.

The objective of this hire is to bring in a hands-on technical leader with world-class systems engineering, systems integration and product lifecycle management (PLM) experience. This person will report to the CTO, will be responsible for steering and standardizing product integration methodologies, will be responsible for cross-functional collaboration with all internal teams to lead new projects from concept to commercialization, and will eventually be responsible for leading the product development organization.

You'd bring to the table:

• B.S. Engineering coupled with 10-20+ years of hands-on systems integration and engineering experience for vastly complex technologies (Aerospace preferred)

• Proven track record of implementing stage-gate methodologies in robust product development organizations

• Expertise in systems engineering principles and mechanical/chemical engineering principles (e.g. thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, etc.)

• Proficiency with modelling and simulation software (Aspen Plus/HYSYS, ANSYS, Matlab, etc.)

• Expertise in product lifecycle management (PLM) processes and tools with experience developing best practices for configuration management, change control and documentation
