The Responsible Jewellery Council is the world's leading standard-setting organisation for the global value chain of jewellery and watches. As the global standard for this sector, the RJC certification covers the entire supply chain, from mine to retail. RJC members benefit from access to a global community as well as technical expertise, support and educational materials.

The ESG and Impacts Manager will lead the RJC's internal monitoring and evaluation system, supporting their mission to demonstrate its positive impact throughout the whole value chain, from mine to retail, and its contribution to sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing annual outcome and impact evaluations in line with ISEAL Impacts Code requirements

  • Collaborating with external research partners and internal teams to deliver insightful evaluations and communications

  • Managing the RJC research agenda to test and validate the new Theory of Change

  • Delivering regular reports to outline the impacts, data, and insights to internal and external audiences

  • Support collaboration projects with team members to ensure data governance is embedded in day-to-day operations

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Internal Audit and Data Governance Manager and will play a vital role in guiding the ongoing engagement with key businesses in the global supply chain of precious metals and gemstones.

You'll bring:

  • A high level of understanding of impacts/ monitoring and

    evaluation. This will include concepts such as theory of change, performance monitoring, outcome and impact research related to environmental and social issues (labour and working conditions, responsible sourcing and human rights, environmental impact)

  • A strong experience working with key stakeholders working with complex supply chains

  • Working knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals

  • Experience with the UN Global Compact preferable

  • Ability to speak French, Italian, Spanish, Guajarati or other languages is beneficial
