Head of Carbon Pricing

Acre is working with one of the world's leading carbon markets solutions providers to help them hire a Head of Carbon Pricing. They are one of the largest players in carbon markets and are widely recognised for developing high-quality carbon projects around the globe, helping clients offset emissions they can't reduce. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will provide thought leadership for the firm while producing high-quality sector research and pricing reports for their customers.

You will be responsible for:

• Building the house view and producing research and pricing reports on carbon credits, including future price forecasting

• Assessing new models, including environmental, biodiversity and tokenised credits and their valuation

• Working closely with commercial teams to deepen understanding of future pricing trends

• Monitoring and engaging with carbon markets-related platforms and exchanges

• Supporting the commercial team in returns assessment and risk analysis

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Experience in producing high-quality economic research, pricing forecasts and sector outlooks, creating compelling commentary and narrative from data analysis

• Ability to take ownership and initiative to produce insightful research, pricing and commercial solutions

• Experience in carbon markets, while beneficial, is not a must-have

This is a unique role which gives you the opportunity to work within the commercial team of a leading carbon markets player and transition into a commercial role. You will be working very closely with the senior leadership of the firm in a high-visibility role.
