Acre is working with one of the largest global banks to help them hire a Head of Regional Public Affairs. You will be working closely with the Group head of Public Affairs and will manage relationships with key external stakeholders including MPs, local governments, corporates and media houses. You will also drive advocacy for the group while proactively identifying and responding to potential reputational risks.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the execution of public policy campaigns and managing delivery of activity on issues material to the bank
Supporting the team to achieve advocacy objectives and drive political engagement
Managing relationships with regional business and industry groups in line with group strategy
Managing media relationships and proactively leading external communications
Engaging on strategic issues with external stakeholders and act in the best interests of the bank's reputation
Identifying and managing reputational risks, escalating as appropriate and in a timely way
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to senior internal and external stakeholders like MPs, govt officials and media outlets
Exceptional network and good relationships with MPs and local governments, with good understanding of the political environment in which the bank operates
Experience in working collaboratively with multiple teams in a matrix environment to achieve strategic objectives
This is a high impact role where you will be working closely with senior leaders to manage key external relationships for the group, while also making media appearances for the bank at various events.
