Kingfisher Plc is seeking to secure an experienced Head of Responsible Business for a 12-month maternity cover.

​

As one of the largest home improvement companies operating through brands such as B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt, Screwfix, TradePoint and Koçtaş, Kingfisher has a large property portfolio with approximately 1,380 stores, supported by a team of 80,000 colleagues - which means this role has the opportunity to help make a significant impact, including supporting the business to transition to renewable energy sources.

The role will report directly to their newly appointed Director of Responsible Business and work alongside their senior leadership team.

​

You will be responsible for defining Kingfisher's Responsible Business reporting strategy to ensure it is industry-leading, and in line with best practice frameworks, and future regulation including the Responsible Business content in the Annual Report and Accounts, Responsible Business Reporting Suite.

You will have a strong track record of corporate responsibility leadership experience as well as technical knowledge in reporting and relevant ESG standards as well as experience leading community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of annual Responsible Business reporting, including the successful audit of non-financial data, report delivered to time and budget, engaging comms around the report launch and increasing readership and engagement.

  • Ensuring Kingfisher is compliant with current and upcoming non-financial mandatory reporting regulations such as TCFD.

  • Monitoring the fast-paced evolving ESG reporting landscape.

  • Setting strategic direction and governance for Climate Change and Forest Positive programmes - including reporting requirements, driving stakeholder engagement and delivery against targets.

  • Oversees successful 'Planet' partnerships with relevant stakeholders, such as the Rainforest Alliance, and Race to Zero.

  • Overseeing management and delivery of Kingfisher's science-based targets and Net Zero commitments.
