As part of the organisation's agenda to further embed and operationalise sustainability, we are looking for a Sustainability and Circular Economy Manager to deliver on a robust global strategy.

Based in the London headquarters and reporting directly to the Head of Sustainability and Circular Economy, Global Regions, this role will support the implementation of global sustainability and circular economy projects across CHANEL's international markets. This role provides exposure to an array of sustainability topics, different functions and geographic regions of the business, as well as a diverse panel of internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of corporate sustainability. Together with experience in working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of a sustainability and/or circular economy strategy.

Daily Tasks Include:

  • Organising and preparing for periodic committee meetings or seminars

  • Stakeholder engagement, influencing stakeholders internally and externally

  • Managing vendor contracts, budgets and invoicing, project timelines and team meetings working closely with cross-functional working groups

  • Coordinating work delivered by external service providers

  • Drafting presentations, internal summary reports, guidelines and policy documents

  • Conducting

    research and analysis

  • Keeping up to date on market intelligence, e.g. reading industry publications, attending conferences, etc.

Key Competencies:

  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in corporate sustainability, especially with a focus in the following topics: renewable energy, waste management, green building and/or eco-design

  • High emotional quotient and affinity for collaborative work

  • Capacity to structure, prioritise and implement multiple tasks in parallel

  • Ability to synthesize key information and insights on a complex topic

  • Intellectual curiosity

Additional Competencies:

  • Professional proficiency in French

  • Wordpress
