Are you a seasoned consultant with entrepreneurial spirit, looking to join a team to deliver Climate Action Strategies for large, complex clients?

Our client is a global consultancy, and they support organisations in contributing to climate action and anchoring it in their strategy. As our client wants to take climate action to a new level, they develop high-quality, certified climate projects with their Impact Business division. In addition to the positive effects on the climate, these project portfolios provide additional benefits for the local communities, guided by the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing key and strategic accounts (e.g. clients that need advanced consulting and expertise and where long-term collaboration is expected) without supervision.

  • Leveraging strategic thinking to develop and expand key accounts by identifying growth opportunities and upcoming risks.

  • Acting as an expert in complex GHG calculations involving all categories of Scope 3, with the capability to act as quality control for other consultants' projects.

  • Deciding on the methodology for the consulting work required where that work is non-standard.

  • Facilitating the completion of end-to-end projects which guide our most strategic clients towards developing Net Zero strategies or setting Science-Based Targets.

  • Designing and facilitating complex in-person or virtual workshops for clients involving multiple stakeholders and key decision-makers.

To succeed, you'll need:

  • Professional experience leading large corporate customer accounts.

  • Experience in environmental / sustainability consulting, professional services or equivalent in-house role, or in a non-sustainability industry-specific role.

  • You have exceptional communication skills and can build trust by communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and budget holders at a management and board level.

  • Knowledge of carbon accounting and sustainability reporting (e.g. various GHG protocol standards (Scope 2 guidance, Scope 3 guidance, value chain, corporate standard).

  • Good knowledge of sustainability and carbon reporting (including but not limited to SBTi, TCFD/TNFD).
