Senior Director, Sustainable Finance

Acre is working with a leading global bank to help them hire a Senior Director of Sustainable Finance in Dubai. Reporting to the Head of Sustainable Finance, you will be driving the sustainable finance business in the Middle East and Africa regions.

You will be responsible for:

• Driving and growing the sustainable finance business in the Middle East Region and Africa

• Advising clients on products, frameworks, industry best practices and emerging regulations

• Partnering closely with the relationship teams to develop client engagement strategies

• Building the strategy to position the bank as a sustainable finance leader in the region

• Leading the team to drive origination and training team members

• Representing the bank externally as a thought leader at industry events, conferences and other platforms

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Very good understanding of sustainable finance products across bonds, loans and other banking solutions, preferably with strong origination and execution experience

• Strategic mindset with a vision of how to become the leading bank in the region for sustainable finance solutions

• Ability to build relationships at C-suite level and influence decision-makers

• A passion for sustainability with good knowledge of regulatory developments and best practices

• Highly client-focused with an ability to advise on innovative solutions and instruments
