Acre has been retained by a leading Private Equity-Backed IPP looking to identify a Vice President, Project Development to support the growth of their organization. This role will be responsible for advancing a diverse and complex portfolio of low-carbon assets with an emphasis on Utility-Scale Solar, Solar + Storage, and Battery Storage.

The client has deep roots in power generation development, delivering over 30GW of projects across the United States. The Vice President of Project Development will be tasked with working with leadership to manage renewable development operations, building their own team of developers, and increasing company presence in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and strategize with SVP, Project Development to manage daily operations and portfolio advancement

  • Lead key projects at various stages of development, driving projects through to NTP

  • Work with the leadership team to foster development strategy, including both Greenfield development and M&A opportunities

  • Build the organization's presence in a new office through hiring and leading a team of developers

Fundamental Experience:

  • 10+ Years of project development experience across a variety of US Power Markets - Eastern Interconnect a plus

  • A track record of delivering utility-scale solar, wind, or battery storage projects from early development to construction

  • Experience growing, developing, and retaining direct reports

  • A 'hands-on' attitude, willing to lead through both action and delegating
