Acre is supporting a leading international organization to recruit a Social Sustainability Auditor & Compliance Manager.

In this role, you will lead initiatives to strengthen human rights performance across the organization's global supply chain, driving audit programs that ensure safe, fair, and dignified working conditions for all workers. This role will play a key part in advancing the company's 2030 social sustainability ambitions and implementing robust due diligence frameworks aligned with international best practices.
Our client is a global business in the food industry, with sustainability and responsible sourcing embedded at the core of its operations, ensuring transparent, ethical, and compliant supply chains.
What will you be doing in this role?
As the Social Sustainability Auditor & Compliance Manager, you will oversee the implementation of the company's human rights and labor compliance programs, ensuring suppliers meet established ethical standards and continuously improve their practices. You will run on-site audits and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ranging from NGOs and government agencies to industry partners, to promote responsible sourcing and ensure compliance with emerging global regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit Program Leadership: Travel up to 60% across Europe to conduct on-site social audits and lead supplier improvement projects. Manage the implementation of the company's social sustainability code of conduct and design global due diligence frameworks in line with EU and US regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, working groups, and sustainability forums, building strong relationships with external partners and peers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with procurement, sustainability, and corporate affairs teams to ensure accurate data analysis, transparency, and alignment across the organization.
- Supply Chain Insights: Develop insights into global supply chains, identify labor and human rights risks, and advise on mitigation and remediation strategies.
- Advocacy and Compliance: Develop advocacy strategies to address regulatory gaps and strengthen alignment with international due diligence frameworks.
- Reporting and Documentation: Contribute to sustainability reports, case studies, and collaborative projects with NGOs and multi-stakeholder initiatives, ensuring accurate reporting to customers and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Lead initiatives that enhance worker welfare and engagement, such as improved communication access, training programs, and grievance mechanisms.

- Expertise in Human and Labor Rights Auditing: Deep experience in international human rights auditing, due diligence, and corrective action planning aligned with global social standards.
- Willingness to Travel: Able to travel up to 60% across the European region.
- Project Management Skills: Proven track record in managing cross-functional projects, developing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective communication related to audit and social compliance programs.
- Global Perspective: Understanding of international sustainability standards, national inspection protocols, and reporting requirements for global supply chains.
- Fluent English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Location: This role can be based in Liverpool (UK), Utrecht (Netherlands), Paris (France), or Milan (Italy). Candidates must live within commuting distance of their chosen office or be willing to relocate.
