Acre is proud to be partnering with a UK-based environmental-biotechnology company to hire an Engineering Lead. Led by a passionate and entrepreneurial team, the Company focuses on using proprietary biotechnology and engineering processes (aerobic process) to treat non-recyclable or hard‐to‐handle waste streams and convert them into alternative energy sources for high-emitting sectors. Due to a favourable operating environment and market demand, the Company has impressive expansion plans.
To support their growth, the Company is hiring an Engineering Lead to support the build, installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of the product range at client locations across the UK. Note that this role involves regular travel to project sites across the UK, and travel duration can vary (from 2 days to 3 weeks), so do apply if a desk job is not for you!
About the role
The Engineering Lead is responsible for the following tasks:

Supporting the build, installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of the product range at client locations across the UK.

Comprehending customer requirements and making appropriate recommendations

Providing technical support and troubleshooting advice to clients.

Providing training to customers and personnel on the product range.

Supporting sales and R&D teams in testing new waste streams and designing new solutions.

Getting in on the ground floor of the business as it seeks to develop the business structure required to scale this new and exciting technology.
Requirements for the role
You will be able to leverage the following skills for this role:

It is important that you have experience in commissioning activities and have a track record of constructing, installing, and testing new systems/ processes

Experience in major machinery installation projects in various countries

Willingness and ability to travel across the UK

Technical background experience for electro/mechanical projects

Ability to read engineering drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, manufacturing drawings).
