Acre is delighted to be supporting an international Multi-Stakeholder Initiative in the soft commodities space to hire a Membership Director to lead engagement, recruitment, and retention across its international membership base. The organisation aligns industry action and promotes responsible practices, and drives environmental and social sustainability.
About the Role
This organisation unites businesses and stakeholders across a complex, global supply chain, acting at the intersection of private sector, policy makers and international institutions. This is a pivotal role, central to how the organisation delivers value to members, expands its reach, and supports its mission to foster sustainable industry transformation.
Reporting to the President, you will serve as the primary point of contact for current and prospective members, ensuring exceptional service and consistent communication.
In this role, you will
- Identify and engage prospective members across industry. Deliver persuasive presentations and outreach activities that clearly demonstrate the value of membership and the organisation’s mission
- Oversee seamless onboarding processes and maintain accurate records in CRM systems. Collaborate with finance and programme teams to ensure renewals, invoicing and processes run smoothly
- Develop and deliver tailored engagement strategies to strengthen relationships, particularly among small and medium-sized enterprises
- Serve as the go-to contact for member enquiries
- Track engagement trends and provide actionable insights to senior leadership on satisfaction, participation and recruitment progress
- Support the ongoing evolution of the membership model, contributing ideas to enhance the organisation’s value proposition and ensure that services remain relevant and equitable across all member categories
