The sustainability team oversees and manages global sustainability initiatives and commitments, focusing on reducing environmental impact, empowering people, and operating responsibly.
They are now seeking a Sustainability & Climate Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Group Sustainability Director, this role plays a central part in ensuring high-quality sustainability data collection, analysis, carbon accounting and reporting across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyse sustainability data across the organisation, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work with external partners to collect, analyse, and develop accurate greenhouse gas emissions data.
- Support tracking of progress against sustainability KPIs, including carbon reduction and supply chain metrics.
- Develop and maintain sustainability data dashboards and tools for internal reporting.
- Assist with preparation of non-financial disclosures (e.g., CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, TCFD, and other ESG reporting frameworks).
- Support data compilation and analysis for the annual report and Sustainability Report.
- Respond to business units on sustainability data requests and questionnaires, ensuring timely and accurate information.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to ensure data quality and alignment with sustainability objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve data processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Monitor emerging trends, reporting standards, and regulatory developments (UK, EU, and global).
The Sustainability & Climate Manager will manage, analyse, and report on sustainability, Health & Safety, climate, and wider ESG data across the organisation’s business units. The role ensures accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used to track progress against the DVR strategy and commitments, including net-zero targets.
Working closely with business units, finance teams, and reporting teams, the role supports regulatory disclosures, customer questionnaires, and the annual DVR Report, providing timely, accurate and well-structured data and insights. This is a collaborative role, enabling robust sustainability performance tracking and continuous improvement across a global footprint.
Key Requirements
Education & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, data analytics, engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge / Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in sustainability and ESG (corporate, consultancy, or related field).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with large datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to data validation and reporting.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and reporting standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP, GRI, TCFD).
