Acre is excited to continue its support of a leading transmission operator by identifying a talented Economic Studies Engineer to join their planning division. In this role, you will spearhead complex energy market and transmission expansion analysis, ultimately building the technical backbone of what will become their long-term expansion plan. Through technical and economic modeling, you will build reports that identify regional needs and market inefficiencies, and you'd be responsible for doing the groundwork that defines how and where the grid goes next.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a blue-chip client in the utility industry, gain cutting-edge experience, and challenge yourself daily as you solve complex problems within a team of nationally recognized engineers.
To be successful, you'll have
- A bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Technology, or Electronics is required
- 2+ years of hands-on experience within power systems or infrastructure - such as grid simulation, load flow, contingency analysis, transmission planning, congestion, or outage simulations
- Experience with one or more of the following production cost modeling tools: PROMOD, Plexos, EGEAS, PSS/E, PSLF, TARA
This role can sponsor H1B transfer - but candidates must a) be currently based in the United States and b) have their H1B approved already.
