Acre is working with a business who is expanding its sustainability and technical services capability and is seeking an experienced Energy Modeller to be the first hire in this role, with scope to shape and grow the function. This is a delivery-focused, mid-level role suited to someone from a consultancy background who can operate independently from day one.
The role supports asset managers, building owners and investment managers across commercial real estate, working closely with established sustainability, building consultancy and technical services teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver energy modelling across commercial real estate assets (primarily retrofit/refurbishment of operational buildings)
- Support sustainability-led projects including energy audits, performance assessments and decarbonisation planning
- Produce and review TM54 energy models, EPCs and related assessments
- Contribute to proposals, providing energy modelling inputs and technical insight
- Work closely with in-house sustainability, mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate modelling with wider advisory outputs
- Help define best practice, workflows and future capability for an internal energy modelling team
Required Experience / Must-Haves
- Proven experience in energy modelling within a consultancy environment
- Strong background in commercial real estate
- Hands-on experience delivering:
- EPCs (non-domestic / commercial)
- Energy audits
- TM54 level assessments (Level 2/3)
- Familiarity with ISO 50001
- Ability to QA own work and deliver independently
- Comfortable managing workload, understanding commercial timelines and modelling effort
