Acre is delighted to be supporting Perfetti Van Melle in hiring a technically strong Regulatory Affairs Specialist with a focus on packaging sustainability and circular economy legislation.
This role is designed for someone who can operate independently from day one, acting as a trusted internal expert and sparring partner to senior stakeholders. You will sit at the intersection of regulation, sustainability, packaging, and legal, helping the business navigate a rapidly evolving global regulatory landscape.
Working within an international team, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with sustainability-related regulations while supporting strategic decision-making across packaging, marketing, commercial, and executive teams.
You will be
- Monitoring and implementing global sustainability regulations, with a strong focus on packaging, waste management, and circular economy legislation (including PPWR).
- Providing clear, practical regulatory guidance on topics such as recyclability, overpackaging, slack fill, waste labelling, and green claims.
- Translating regulatory developments into impact assessments, internal communications, and executive-ready materials.
- Supporting green claims and greenwashing risk mitigation, working closely with legal and marketing teams.
- Acting as a key point of contact for external consultants, trade associations, and industry working groups.
- Attending and contributing to association meetings and regulatory initiatives at the regional and global level.
- Supporting cross-functional projects by providing regulatory insight and legislative interpretation.
- Developing and maintaining internal procedures, guidance, and training materials on sustainability compliance.
- Tracking emerging trends and best practices across circular economy, design-for-recycling, and ESG reporting.
- Providing potential support on CSRD, CSDDD, and broader sustainability reporting requirements.

- You bring strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex regulatory topics.
