Acre is partnered with a global battery and energy storage technology manufacturer to identify a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist to support domestic and international logistics operations for energy storage systems (ESS) and related equipment.
This organization operates in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment and is focused on advancing electrified transportation and sustainable energy solutions. The Logistics Specialist will play a critical execution-level role in ensuring on-time, compliant, and cost-effective delivery to customers and internal sites.
Role Overview
The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for hands-on coordination of international and U.S. domestic shipments, shipment visibility, and cross-functional logistics support. This role requires experience with freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehouse coordination, and transportation across multiple modes.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate international and domestic shipments via ocean, air, truck, and rail
- Work closely with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouses to execute shipments
- Track shipments end-to-end and proactively resolve delays, damages, or exceptions
- Prepare and validate shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, AWBs, ISF, 7501, etc.)
Import / Export & Compliance
- Support U.S. import and export activities in compliance with Customs, DOT, FMC, and other applicable regulations
- Assist with customs clearance, tariff classification (HTS), and duty/tax coordination
- Ensure compliance with battery, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods shipping requirements when applicable
- Maintain accurate logistics and compliance records
Warehouse & Inventory Support
- Coordinate inbound and outbound movements with third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses
- Support inventory receiving, shipment scheduling, and issue resolution
- Align shipping plans with production schedules and customer delivery requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, sales, and finance teams to support order fulfillment
- Provide shipment status updates and support customer delivery commitments
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, lead time, and OTIF performance
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Experience with international shipping (China–U.S. or global lanes strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with U.S. import/export processes and logistics documentation
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL providers
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and execution discipline
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and competing priorities
- Clear communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
- Thrives in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in energy storage, batteries, automotive, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with battery logistics, hazardous materials, or oversized cargo
- Exposure to ERP or logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or TMS)
- Bilingual capabilities (English / Mandarin) are a strong plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field preferred
