Acre has exclusively partnered with a rapidly expanding global leader in the Electric Vehicle and Battery Manufacturing sectors in search of two Technical Sourcing Specialists for Battery Pack components.
These roles sit at the center of a major North American production ramp. The individuals stepping into these positions will directly impact cost structure, supplier performance, and the speed at which new programs move from development into scaled manufacturing
You’d be responsible for
- Leading sourcing for battery pack components serving as the primary interface between engineering, R&D, (including overseas teams), and suppliers
- One position will be focused on structural component sourcing like battery pack housings, covers, injection molded plastics, sheet metal, end plates, side plates, wire harnesses, etc.)
- The other position will be focused on electrical components like Battery Disconnect Units (BDU), Combined Charging System (CCS), Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PACB)
- Conducting RFQs, cost breakdown analysis, and supplier negotiations
- Developing and executing localization strategies across North America
- Developing and executing annual cost-reduction targets
- Building detailed cost models and benchmarking supplier pricing
- Supporting APQP / PPAP processes and supplier qualification
- Conducting supplier business and performance reviews
To be successful, you’ll have
- Bachelor’s in supply chain or engineering (preferred) with 3-8 years in sourcing either structural or electrical components within: automotive battery packs, Electric Vehicle Charging (EVSE), energy storage systems, electronics manufacturing
- Familiarity with APQP / PPAP and automotive quality standards
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- ERP experience (SAP / Oracle)
- Willingness to work onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area 5 days per week (relocation package available)
- Bilingual Mandarin/English strongly preferred
- US Citizenship or Green Card
