About the opportunity
Acre is partnering with a fast-growing organisation in the solar energy sector to appoint an Accountant for their Poland office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business playing a critical role in accelerating the clean energy transition across Europe.
This position is based full-time in Poland, operating from the company’s Polish office. Working proficiency in Polish is essential, as the role involves statutory reporting, local compliance, and collaboration with Polish stakeholders, alongside English communication within an international structure.
What you’ll be working on
- Preparing monthly financial reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet, cashflow, and internal management reporting, whilst maintaining the maintaining the general ledger with reconciliations across balance sheet, banking, and intercompany accounts.
- Supporting the full month-end process, including accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
- Processing payments and direct debits across Polish bank accounts while assisting with local statutory reporting and e-invoicing in coordination with external accountants.

- Strengthen internal controls, improve documentation of finance processes, and support audit preparation with clear, well-organized records.
- Contribute to scalable finance operations as the company expands in Poland, ensuring efficiency and financial integrity.
What you’ll bring
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance operations, with hands-on knowledge of AP/AR, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of Polish statutory and tax requirements, fluent Polish (essential), and professional English.
- Structured, reliable, and execution-focused working style, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; experience in Big 4 or the energy sector is advantageous.
