This is a pivotal leadership role with full ownership of UK revenue, market expansion, and commercial strategy in one of Europe's most dynamic renewable energy markets.
The Opportunity
As Sales Director - UK, you will define and execute the national sales strategy, build and lead a high-performing commercial team, and establish the business as a leading solar distribution partner across the UK.
You will operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, shaping market direction while directly influencing major commercial outcomes.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Define and execute the UK go-to-market and sales strategy
- Deliver ambitious revenue, margin, and market share targets
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performance sales organisation
- Develop strategic partnerships with installers, EPCs, developers, and wholesalers
- Own pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales execution discipline
- Drive new customer acquisition while expanding key strategic accounts
- Lead high-value commercial negotiations and long-term agreements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, product, and operations teams
- Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory developments
- Represent the business at industry events to strengthen market presence
- Report to senior leadership on performance, risks, and growth opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role within solar distribution, renewable energy, electrical wholesale, or related sectors
- Proven track record of delivering strong revenue growth and market expansion within the UK
- Established network across installers, EPCs, developers, wholesalers, and industry stakeholders
- Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing sales teams
- Strong commercial acumen across forecasting, pricing, and profitability
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Deep understanding of the UK solar and energy storage market
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
- Fluent English communication skills
- Based in the UK with flexibility to travel nationally
