Acre is excited to announce our partnership with EQT Group, globally renowned for their approach to sustainability. We are looking to appoint a Sustainability Management Associate to work across their Private Capital funds in Europe and North America, based in Munich.

This position is within the Private Capital Sustainability team to support in driving transformation.

As a Sustainability Management Associate, you will report to the Enablement and Operations Lead and closely collaborate with the Sustainability team, contributing to the implementation of EQT's sustainability and impact strategy across Private Capital. This role will have high visibility within the firm and will require regular interaction with deal teams, sustainability ambassadors, other value-creation functions, as well as the broader leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of the overarching strategy for sustainability and impact in Private Capital, including delivery of sustainability goals across the European and North American business lines.

  • Drive strategic projects, including negative screening, carbon pricing, benchmarking, and CSRD review.

  • Accelerate sector and investment-related projects, such as tracking sustainability-themed deals in the pipeline in collaboration with the Private Capital Business Development team.

  • Prepare sustainability input for private equity management and partner meetings, materials for key events, fundraising, and external presentations.

  • Analyse ESG and impact data, providing strategic insights and optimising data use with the Sustainability & Impact Data Controller.

  • Plan and deliver internal sustainability communications and training programs in conjunction with Group Sustainability.

  • Take ownership of team events and collaborate with Private Capital and Group Sustainability teams.

  • Work with the Central and Southern European Private Capital team, building relationships and representing the team internally and externally.

Key Requirements:

  • Five-plus years of experience in a sustainability/ESG, gained either in consulting or an in-house role within a private markets' investor or investment bank.

  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English. Another European language is a plus.

  • Robust project management skills, able to handle various activities simultaneously and coordinate multiple information systems.

  • Strong analytical skills, to critically analyse data, draw meaningful insights, and make informed decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship development and stakeholder management skills, having the ability to work collaboratively in an international and fast-paced team environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results and meeting deadlines.
