This position will build on Sartorius' commitment to being a responsible organisation to all key stakeholders and to take the organisation to the next level in terms of product sustainability. Sartorius has ambitious climate goals which they intend to further build on.

Key Accountabilities

  • The primary responsibility will be to set up processes and programs that will facilitate in embedding sustainability in the business (the setup of the sustainability program will be data-driven)

  • The Program Manager is successful at stakeholder management, creating buy-in, building bridges across the organisation, and has a proven track record of implementing large complex projects

  • Another responsibility is collaborating with the LCA Expert to create and lead programs, centred around data infrastructure for sustainability

  • The data infrastructure must be based on a gap analysis, defining a future state, and implementing sustainability best practices; this must lead to concrete milestones and rolling out the programs across the organisation

  • With a solid track record, the ideal candidate is successful in a multi-stakeholder environment across geographies and acts as an internal consultant supporting cross-functional teams

  • This role requires sharp project management skills and experience


Key Competences

  • A pioneer in this role that combines digital skills and data infrastructure experience, with demonstrable experience in sustainability data & reporting. Skilled at integrating platforms and automating data extraction

  • Proven years of experience in a similar role, preferably within manufacturing operations and supply networks

  • Project management knowledge and experience in an entrepreneurial international environment

  • Technical sustainability knowledge in reporting on environmental sustainability impacts

  • Experience in deploying, using/ maintaining associated tools

  • Specific knowledge and experience of sustainability issues associated with circularity, water and plastic is highly desired

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • Ability to travel as needed (30%)

  • Collaborative, Problem solver, service-oriented mindset

  • Fluent English is a must, German or French is a plus
