Acre is delighted to be supporting Aldi South Holding in appointing a Global Director of Dairy & Beef Sustainability, a strategically critical leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s global approach to two of its most high-impact value chains.
This position will sit at the centre of Aldi South Holding’s sustainability function, ensuring alignment across markets, embedding consistent standards, and driving forward a pragmatic yet ambitious agenda.

You will
- Define and implement a cohesive global roadmap for dairy and beef sustainability, aligned to climate, nature, and social impact priorities
- Ensure consistency in approach, metrics, and positioning across all operating markets, establishing a clear “one voice” externally and internally
- Build and lead a high-performing, international team across beef and dairy, with oversight of both central and dotted-line regional resources
- Oversee investment allocation, strategic partnerships, and public-private initiatives to scale impact across supply chains
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Buying, Sustainability, Communications, and Legal, as well as external partners, suppliers, and industry bodies
- Act as a senior representative for Aldi South Holding in key forums and multi-stakeholder initiatives, contributing to the evolution of sector-wide standards and practices
- Establish robust frameworks for measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV), ensuring transparency and credibility in sustainability claims
Your Experience
- Significant experience within dairy and/or beef supply chains, with a focus on sustainability, sourcing, or production
- Demonstrated delivery of decarbonisation, regenerative agriculture, or supply chain transformation initiatives
- Strong technical understanding of:
- GHG accounting and climate frameworks
- Agricultural systems and their limitations/opportunities
- Supplier engagement and incentive mechanisms
- Proven ability to lead complex, international teams and operate effectively across geographies
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills within multi-layered organisations
- Commercially aware, able to balance ambition with operational feasibility
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented. Comfortable operating within a high-performance, fast-paced environment
