Acre is thrilled to support a leading energy company in their search for a senior accounting role. This is highly unique position in an industry with growing demand and constant innovation.
This role will oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting across a portfolio of operating assets and entities. This includes managing consolidations, supporting acquisition accounting, and partnering closely with FP&A and leadership to deliver accurate, timely, and decision-useful financials. This role is ideal for someone who has operated in a scaled, multi-entity environment and is comfortable owning accounting from subledger through financial statements. The responsibilities can be broken down into the following:
Portfolio Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Own full-cycle accounting across a portfolio of entities, including general ledger, subledgers, and fixed assets
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and scalability
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and roll-forward analysis
- Partner with FP&A on reporting, variance analysis, and margin insights
Acquisition & Integration Support
- Support the accounting for newly acquired assets and entities as they transition into the operating portfolio
- Assist with purchase price accounting adjustments and ongoing balance sheet implications
- Ensure smooth integration of acquired entities into existing accounting processes and reporting structures
Technical Accounting & Compliance
- Apply US GAAP across complex, multi-entity structures
- Support technical accounting areas related to acquisitions, consolidations, and asset accounting
- Partner with auditors and support audit processes
Operational Scale & Team Leadership
- Help scale the accounting function to support a growing portfolio (anticipated team growth)
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while maintaining high standards of accountability
- Drive consistency and discipline across accounting processes and reporting
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8–12+ years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience in large or scaled organizations with complex entity structures
- Experience with consolidations and financial statement preparation
- Exposure to acquisition accounting (purchase price adjustments, integrations)
- Background in infrastructure, real assets, or project-based industries
- Exposure to fixed assets, depreciation, and asset-heavy environments
- Strong partnership with FP&A and cross-functional teams
- Experience with various ERP and CPM tools – OneStream strongly preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
