Acre is partnering with a leading global financial institution to appoint a Vice President, ESG on a paternity cover contract, based in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a front office Commodities & Global Markets business, working at the intersection of sustainability, risk, and commercial strategy. You'll partner closely with business leaders to identify and manage ESG risks, support complex transactions, and contribute to the firm's growing sustainable finance and climate agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination and structuring of transactions through ESG risk assessment and mitigation
- Advise front office teams on ESG and climate-related risks and opportunities
- Act as a key link between business and risk functions to develop practical, commercial solutions
- Provide ESG expertise, market intelligence, and training across the business
- Support climate commitments, financed emissions initiatives, and wider ESG regulatory priorities
We're looking to speak with professionals who have
- 5+ years' experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental and social risk
- A background in financial services, ideally within investment banking, institutional investing, or a similar organisation
- Experience conducting transactional environmental and social due diligence
- A commercial mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
