The Role:

Acre were engaged as the specialist in the field to assist in the search for an environmental science expert with experience in managing global research projects.

The business needed someone based at their headquarters in Sunbury, to work with the various parts of the organisation as well as external consultancies, to pull together data and analysis on key topics across the organisation’s assets worldwide.

The role played a vital role in the team’s objective – to take detailed research and analysis on key topics and translate this information into tangible and understandable information that executives can make educated decision on.

The Successful Candidate:

The successful candidate had over fifteen years of experience in engineering and process industries, both as a consultant and operations, with qualifications in chemistry and engineering and a strong background understanding of environmental and sustainability issues.

The candidate had been known to Acre for a while and was specifically interested in a role like this with one of the O&G industry’s major players.

Acre's Impact:

The project was a success and the research projects were delivered and decisions made by the executive on the results. The candidate has since been promoted with BP and is now working on other projects within the environment function.
