Background

Ball Corporation is the world’s leading beverage can manufacturer. With technical know-how, passion and innovation at the heart of their business, Ball’s ambition is to make the can the most sustainable beverage packaging globally.

Acre’s unrivalled network in the packaging space has enabled us to successfully support Ball Beverage Packaging to grow its’ international sustainability function across corporate affairs, communications, technical sustainability and environment since 2016.

This has been an exciting and rewarding journey, influencing some of the world’s largest retailers’ transition towards a circular and more sustainable economy.

What We Did

Acre have hired internationally to help build Ball’s team, compromising of some of the industry’s leading practitioners from thought leading manufacturers to big four consulting firms.

The Impact of the Team

A recent study confirmed that beverage cans have, by far, the highest global recycling rate of all common beverage packaging substrates (69 percent). Beverage can recycle rates are at or above 90 percent in several developed markets such as Belgium and Germany, as well as in developing markets, such as Brazil, where no formal packaging collection and recycling schemes yet exist.

We were delighted with the recruitment process and the high-calibre candidates it produced. Great service as well.
