Compassion in World Farming believes that everyone has the right to healthy food that does not involve cruelty, does not involve suffering, and does not destroy our planet.

As the internationally leading farm welfare charity, they collaborate with some of the world's biggest food companies, all on the mission to drive towards an ethical and sustainable food supply.

Now in a phase of growth and development, they are seeking a Food Sustainability Manager to join them to support across their reporting, ESG and company-wide food sustainability initiatives.

You will also be:

  • Establishing yourself as a sustainable lead within CIWF for all monitoring and reporting on the protein diversification and innovation market.

  • Delivering and refining food business tools and benchmarks in support of a 'less and better' approach to food production and consumption.

  • Leading the way in developing resources that support the protein diversification and animal-sourced food reduction strategy.

  • Providing corporate engagement and technical support to the Food Business team on protein diversification and other food sustainability issues.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager of food sustainability, you will further help develop and manage global tools to drive corporate reduction strategies and targets in the production and consumption of the core food groups focused on by CIWF.

You already have:

  • Demonstrated experience in data management, analysis, and reporting, preferably with an understanding of weighting and scoring systems.

  • A strong grasp of online tools such as online database platforms.

  • Demonstrated an understanding of ESG initiatives and key food sustainability issues.

  • Gained experience working in or with the food industry, farming, or related industries.

Confident that you can add value but not 100% sure you 'tick every box'? There is no such thing as the perfect candidate. CIWF prides itself on growing the team with diverse professionals. So, however, you identify, and whatever experience you have, please apply if this is a role that excites you.
