The assignment will be for an initial 3 months beginning in July.

The ideal candidate will have strong written communication, stakeholder management, project management, and technical sustainability skills. You will ideally have completed CDP previously and have a clear understanding of what an 'A' grade submission looks like and the development steps for the group to achieve a leadership result.

  • Benchmark and undertake gaps analysis on the new CDP questionnaire and the Group's existing submission

  • Conduct feedback and analysis meetings with CDP to create an improvement plan for 2024 submission

  • Produce a detailed project and stakeholder plan to complete the CDP submission by mid-September

  • Complete the CDP questionnaire using 2024 ESG reporting content and by working in partnership with key internal stakeholders to draft new content

  • Lead content sign-off process with internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with an external environmental consultant to input data sections

  • Submit the questionnaire via the CDP portal in the mid-September deadline

  • Develop action plan for 2024/25 improvements and liaise with internal stakeholders to embed these in current initiatives and future plans

Key Person Requirements:

  • Sustainability expertise and previous experience drafting/co-ordinating CDP submissions

  • Great written, analytical, data, and reporting skills with high attention to detail.

  • Able to distil complex ESG content or data into easily understood concepts and impactful stakeholder ESG reports.

  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with stakeholders across various business areas. Confident in engaging with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability topics
