Director - Project Finance (Americas)

Are you an experienced project finance expert looking to take the next step in your career? Acre has been retained by a Private Equity owned IPP looking to identify a Project Finance expert to lead their financing efforts for their renewable energy fleet in the Americas, covering both the US and South America.

This role is an exceptional opportunity to join a high-growth, ambitious organization looking to build a 4GW operating portfolio by 2029, and a development pipeline exceeding 12GW. This position will provide the opportunity to play financing lead across Utility-Scale Solar, Battery Storage, Wind, and Hybrid assets across the continent, and grow a team.

Reporting into the SVP of Finance, the Director, Project Finance (Americas) offers tremendous upside in growth opportunity, with a clear pathway to establishing themselves as a leader for the business in the Americas.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the negotiation and execution of project financing for the project development pipeline (including negotiation and closing of relevant financing structures)

• Support aggressive corporate development and M&A initiatives through analyzing acquisition opportunities that require relevant financing structures

• Analyze current client financing structures and identify opportunities for value creation and/or risk mitigation through refinancing

• Lead cross-functional internal teams to provide analysis, approval, and deal support

Requirements:

• Must have experience with tax equity financing transactions

• Must have experience within the energy/power sector - ideally utility-scale solar, wind, or battery storage

• 8+ Years of Project Finance Experience or Corporate Finance experience within either a Power company's finance division or an investment banking

• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Finance a plus

• Experience in LATAM a plus

• Spanish Speaking a plus
