Acre is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading property development business to identify their new ESG Asset Manager.

The ESG Asset Manager will play a crucial role in driving the company's ESG initiatives with a focus on the business's operational neighbourhood assets, which currently comprises 4,000 operational homes predominantly located in London.

The opportunity will focus on energy reduction, decarbonisation, and broader sustainability goals; the ESG Asset Manager ensures the adoption, effective management, and delivery of performance across various environmental aspects of their ESG programme. By working closely with the Portfolio Management team, the operational team and property management providers, the ESG Asset Manager will contribute to the long-term vision of integrating ESG values into every stage of a neighbourhood's lifecycle, from design and development through to operation.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Leading on all the existing assets to ensure they perform and comply with the newly created ESG strategy.

  • Prepare and set ESG asset-specific action plans to deliver against the ESG strategy.

  • Work with their internal teams, property management companies, external stakeholders, and specialist consultants to deliver asset-specific action plans.

  • Establish a monitoring and reporting framework to enable the progress of the action plans to be tracked.

  • Establish a framework of external specialist consultants to assist in the delivery of the action plans, including the development of detailed scopes of services and key performance targets.

  • Input into Board reporting in relation to ESG performance and annual business plans for asset management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience managing energy and carbon performance in real estate.

  • Project delivery experience with a bias towards rolling out strategic objectives

  • Good knowledge of sustainability reporting in real estate investment, including CRREM and TCFD.

  • Knowledge of environmental and energy management systems and reporting, such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ESOS would be an advantage.

  • Experience across building certification schemes like BREEAM In-Use, and WELL Building Standard, would also be an advantage.
