If the answer is yes, Acre is partnering with Midocean to hire an ESG Manager to lead the efforts in integrating ESG into the core of business operations and making it the most sustainable promotional products and services company in the market.


The role: ESG Manager

Midocean's purpose is to enable companies to create brand awareness, by delivering the perfect personalized gift. Midocean is growing fast: for the past five years, it has realized triple-digit growth and aims to be the best promotional products firm worldwide. As ESG Manager, you will be at the heart of integrating sustainable practices across all levels of the organization, aligning business objectives with the broader goals of sustainable development. What will you be doing in this role?

  • ​Design, implement and monitor an ESG strategy that positions Midocean ahead of existing and upcoming regulations.

  • Lead and develop the ESG team and foster a culture focused on sustainable development.

  • Develop and oversee the publication of the sustainability report, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.

  • Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and be responsible for presenting sustainability roadmap progress to the board of directors advising on ESG-related risks and opportunities.

  • Keeping abreast of relevant ESG legislation and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant, and adapting strategies as necessary.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the group to promote sustainability initiatives. Acting as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on ESG topics.

  • Experience leading and implementing sustainability strategies within an international B2B corporate environment.

  • Subject matter expertise in different sustainability standards, certifications, and knowledge of current and upcoming regulations (E.g., GRI, BCorp, SBTI, CSRD).

  • Track record in managing ESG teams and fostering a culture of sustainability and ethical responsibility within the organization.

  • A keen interest in the promotional items space and its value chain, coupled with the ambition to drive ESG transformation.

  • Proficiency in Dutch and English is crucial for success in this role.

  • Based in Ede or open to commute.
